Adult Swimming
Our adult classes cater for all levels, from non-swimmers through to those looking for technique refinement.
One of the major benefits of swimming for fitness is that it’s low impact on your body. Unlike running or other land-based physical activity, swimming doesn’t put as much wear and tear on your joints and muscles.
Swimming laps with good technique will allow you to swim longer and get the benefits of keeping your heart rate up, build endurance, muscle strength and over all cardiovascular fitness.
SWIMZ Bendigo has two types of adult classes, Water Confidence and Stroke Correction
Water Confidence This class will focus on being comfortable in the water, breathing and floating. Our friendly and inviting environment, makes It perfect for any adult who has never done any swimming or lacks confidence.
Stroke Correction Aimed at those wanting to refine their skills and get the most of their swimming, the main emphasis of this class, initially, will be on freestyle and backstroke, with a particular emphasis on;
- Body position
- Kick
- Breathing with Kick
- Arms and breathing
- Timing of arms, body position, kick and Breath for Freestyle
